GT40 Cable Shifter Handle Assembly G2.
The GT40 Cockpit Cable Shifter Kit comes with a pedestal assembly that bolts down to any flat surface. The Billet GT40 Short Shifter is bolted to the Pedestal or your own console structure.
Our shifter is extremely smooth and eliminates the problematic shift experience that is widely known to be an issue with a stock GT40. Our GT40 customers have told us that our shifter is indeed a marked improvement over the rod shifter as well as the later cable shifted GT40's. The improvements in the design and geometry of the shifter results in a way better driving experience.

Our RCR Lola T70 IIIB coupe race car likes it's new GT40 shifter . Now we can beat them with some of their own parts !

Shifter Product excellent.
Base assembly steel uncoated dissapointing.Now plated.
Cable retainer slots required grinding to allow cable shaft to drop in.

Scott,
You’re my hero! I haven’t had a chance to actually drive the car yet but so far, just sitting in the shop, it shifts like a dream! 10000 x better than it was before. Shorter throws, much crisper engagement, you can actually tell which gear you’re in! Not to mention almost zero “ slop” in the shifter. If I had to criticize on thing, in order to keep your ego in check, I would say that the sheet metal bracket is a little on the flimsy side, especially since everything else is such nice billet components. But all in all I have zero complaints!!
